The room was spotless and well-maintained; the location close to train stations was convenient, and had a lovely evening at a nearby restaurant.

Excellent location, close to the main attractions, as well as many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and more. In addition, it is very close to the subway station and RER. Many complain about the small rooms and the crowdedness. I would call the hotel compact, very cozy and comfortable. With its size, the rooms have absolutely everything you need. Ideal for real travelers who need the hotel for their sleep. The price is certainly expensive, but in general, compared to other hotels, it is acceptable. The staff is very friendly and responsive.
Narrow spiral staircase, a bit uncomfortable to climb and descend with luggage, but in principle not critical.

The location of this Hotel is excellent, very well situated.
The Hotel is dirty, there are marks all over the carpets pretty much everywhere, there is no lift and the stairs are dangerous. We had a faulty door, where the door closer (that is there for safety) was hanging off the wall and didnt close the door as it should in case of a fire. This meant that when you opened the door, it banged against the wall and would only allow the door to open half way before banging against the wall. This was very annoying as you can imagine and over the days with the constant banging against the wall, the door then becamse difficult to clise because of this. I complained to the staff, who did absolutely nothing, judging by the marks on the wall and the number of holes in the wall/door frame, this has been like this for some time and ignored and is a fire hazard. My father also had an issue with a faulty sink where the plug didnt actually come out, so the sink would fill up and then take hours to empty, again we complained and nothing was done by the staff, appauling service. I would never stay at this Hotel again.

Close to the Eiffel Tower and close to an rer stop - not metro - you'll need a separate ticket. Small cozy room, no elevator, and can hear everything going outside your door, but if all you are doing is sleeping, then it's a perfect little inexpensive place to stay. Staff was extremely nice, would stay there again. Close to Rue Cler street with a lot of resturaunts, shops, and bakeries.
Only complaint is that the stairway is small and very loud if people are climbing up - we accidentally woke someone up trying to get our luggage upstairs to the 3rd floor late at night. When someone opens the neighboring door to their room, it sounds like they're opening the door to your room. Otherwise, very clean and cozy.

location: the hotel was really close to the very centre of paris.

The location of the hotel was very nice, there are two metro stations nearby, and many sights can be reached on foot. The hotel is very quiet. We didn't take any breakfast, so I can't say anything about it. The staff is very nice. The rooms are small, of course, but they are very comfortable and clean. We took an improved room, the bathroom is very spacious, clean with good plumbing. The beds are very comfortable, the bed linen and towels are of good quality, not dilapidated. They change in a day. The room has everything you need. I recommend to take improved rooms, then there is an opportunity to sit in the patio in the courtyard of the hotel.

The beds were comfortable and the whole room was compact and brand-new. We truly enjoyed having a safe, a mini-bar, and central heating.- Genuinely helpful staff gave advice on things to do.

Great location, a 10 minute walk to Eiffel tower and about 20 minute walk to Arch de Triomphe and Champs Elysees. Close to Pont Alma for rer 3 train to Versailles and Bateau Mouche dock. Close to La Tour Malbourg and Invalides metro stations. Good rate in a safe, quiet and pleasant neighborhood, close to restaurants and shops on St. Dominique. Good for short stays- ours was four days. Staff was pleasant and helpful enough. Room was simple, comfortable and clean. Had already stayed at Hotel Malar before in 2002 and would stay there again for its location and rates. I would recommend the hotel but a lot depends on your personal expectations.
